Listen, there are far worse ideas for advertising your wares, "urinal Cakes" come to mind. Yuck. Let's just stick to the bullseye and not get all fancy and creative. A Cake is a Cake and nothing more. Now, Recycling is becoming the cliche word of the day, unless of course it is followed up with real action. Everyone wants to say they are "Green" or "planet friendly" but not everyone does what they say. I say I am "eco Friendly" and try and do my share, I too have that little blue box with the circling arrows next to my trash can. But sometimes that little wrapper from my daughter's juicebox is itching to be free and somehow ends up jumping into the trash bin or worse yet, out the window of the car while zooming down the interstate. Bummer.
So, while I was trying to sell my cool new Dept. of Homeland Security Compliant trash cans to transit agencies, it donned on me....What if I could take this "Clear Sided" new receptacle and place a really cool ad or logo behind it. Wow, it has a whole new look. It now is a place to ad space! (it sounded clever inside my head) SO now the hard part is to find a way to get advertising depts. to jump on board. My idea is to mimic the "litter free zone" that you see along the freeway, and implement it around town. Get the local shop, store, company or whoever, to buy ad space and associate it with "Litter Free Zone sponsored by........" or better yet, "Recycling sponsored by............" This way a buyer is looking good by being green and eco friendly without actually having to do it. I am sure for insurance reasons the trash containers will still have to serviced by the maintenance team. Could you imagine Joe the Tailor actually picking up the trash around the area or putting a can in the recycling bin that he is sponsoring? Well, I guess anything is possible. Urinal Cakes advertising cheaper insurance did.
So, I can see these Receptacles at Convention Centers, Concert Venues, Food Courts, Malls, Ball Parks, Stadiums and more.
Anyone else thing this is a good idea? Please let me know. cory@securr.com and you can see the container here - http://www.trash-cans.com/H...
